Michigan on March 4, 5 and 6 . The PLAN test will be administered to all Freshmen and Sophomores on the morning of March 5. The PLAN test is a practice ACT test.
Because of the high stakes nature and importance of the MME, we desire to provide the best possible testing environment for our students. For this reason, there will be no school for Freshmen and Sophomores on Tuesday, March 4 as well as the morning of Thursday, March 6. On Thursday, March 6, a modified bus schedule will be run for the delayed start.
MME Schedule for Freshmen
- TUESDAY, MARCH 4 - NO SCHOOL
- WEDNESDAY, MARCH 5 -
- PLAN TEST IN THE A.M. At 7:50, all freshmen students should report to the Freshman Campus classroom assigned for the PLAN test. Classroom assignments are posted outside room 901.
- 3RD AND 4TH HOUR CLASSES STARTING AT 11:35
- THURSDAY, MARCH 6 -
- DELAYED START – No breakfast or lunch served
- 1ST, 2ND AND 5TH HOUR CLASSES STARTING AT 11:05
It is critical that students take the PLAN assessment seriously because it:
- Helps students measure their current academic development in preparation for the actual ACT test that is taken in 11th grade.
- The data gives us an opportunity to measure this testing group’s overall academic progress in which it will ultimately be used for building school improvement plans.
Please discuss with your child its importance as well as the following to be prepared for the
PLAN:
- They MUST be on time! Once the testing begins, they cannot enter the room.
- Once students are in the room, they are NOT allowed to leave. If they need a graphing calculator, they must bring it with them ahead of time.
- Get plenty of sleep the night before the test.
- Eat breakfast.
- Follow directions exactly.
- Don’t spend too much time on any single question. For hard ones, choose the answer you think is best and move on.
- Just like the ACT, THERE IS NO PENALTY FOR GUESSING. BE SURE TO ANSWER EVERY QUESTION.
