Election May 7th

Dear Parents,

Tomorrow, Hudsonville voters will be asked to approve the non-homestead millage renewal request. The non-homestead renewal request is something that is before our voters every year. It provides approximately $3.9 million dollars of operational funding. In a time where our foundation grant is back to 2007 levels, these dollars are vital to our programing for children. Please remember this is not a millage increase.

Second, the district is requesting a renewal of our building and site fund. For the past 25 years, the Hudsonville School Board has been fortunate to use this fund to help facilities keep pace with the district's growth, maintain important infrastructure and purchase land. Over the past years, this fund has paid for fourteen additional classrooms, roof repairs on five buildings, replacement of boilers, and many other necessary improvements. Please remember this too is not a millage increase but a request to maintain the current millage rate.

Hudsonville students and families are truly blessed. They are blessed to have incredibly talented and caring teachers and staff members working with them on a daily basis. They are blessed to have the wonderful facilities that contribute to a warm nurturing environment. And they are blessed to have the support of a community that values quality education. Please remember to vote on May 7th!

Sincerely,

Nick Ceglarek, Superintendent
